It is to note that Games Workshop offers most of the Mordheim content offered on this site for free download and personal use on their Specialist Games site. It is understood that this material is not to be sold and/or gain profit, but maybe reproduced for entertainment purposes only by Mordheim players. All material is offered on our site follows the same fundamental principals, rules, guidelines, stipulations and regulation as it's owners and contributors. This means that all free resources are offered for free (under the acknowledgement of the original authors) regardless of origin, and will be removed upon official requests.

We are in complete understanding that we are publishing material that has been printed at one point by Games Workshop, and it is owned by the company. It is NOT our intention to commercialize nor abuse any of their intellectual property. This is the main reason why anyone must defend their intellectual property; control the franchise development and profit. Unfortunately, most of their printed material is either out of date (like the main Rulebook, which can be found updated as The Living Rulebook yet no "changes" references or indexes are provided), hard to find (like the Annual 2002 and the Empire in Flames) or are simply out of print (like the Town Cryer magazines.) At this point there is no official announcement that any of this materials will be commercially available anytime soon (i.e. re-prints, 2nd Edition, etc.) The Specialist Games site contain some, but not all, information in this books. Unfortunately, they are all in PDF format which makes them extremely hard for new players to make sense of any. For example, if one wants to find information about the Official Warband "Orcs & Goblin Horde", instead of looking up warbands> official> orcs the player must navigate to "Rulebook" and scroll down and open the PDF "Da Mob Rulez"... I just had trouble finding it, and I knew what I was looking for! This is not a friendly way to introduce someone to the games!

We clearly understand that Games Workshop must protect their intellectual property from being stolen, abused, infringed, etc., but following their example we are offering it on a better format (newbie friendly) and exactly as printed. Furthermore, references for those who like to collect the printed resources (as they are hard to find) all author information and bibliography are mentioned whenever possible. In a way, we are helping Games Workshop and Specialist Games supporting their platform, at no cost for them. Until this hard to find information vital to the development of the hobby is again available (reprints, new editions, etc) to the general public, our re-publishing of the information what we provide is indeed as service to our community. Since our intentions are indeed in good nature to assist Games Workshop in providing another unofficial venue to support the game, which by the amount of visitors is clearly needed, it would make sense that Games Workshop would guide our efforts, thus retaining control of their franchise and intellectual process.
